What people say about
Tipperary Counselling Service

“I am so thankful to TCS. I have become such a strong person and often think about our sessions. Deirdre is amazing and the best therapist I have ever had (and I have had a few). ”
Claire
Adult
“I came to counselling exhausted - mentally, emotionally and physically. I thought I needed to "fix" my anxiety, but what I discovered was a lifetime of proving I was enough. My therapist at TCS helped me stop performing and start listening to myself. I no longer feel ruled by overthinking or guilt for having needs. I really couldn't recommend Deirdre and the team at TCS enough. They helped me change my life. ”
Caoimhe
Adult.
“Before Counselling , my teenager barely spoke to us. Everything felt tense, guarded and reactive. Working with TCS changed everything for us, not just our child it was the whole atmosphere in our home. They began to understand their emotions instead of shutting down or exploding and we learned how to respond without making things worse. My child has grown in confidence and emotional maturity. I feel like I've got my child back. ”
Andy
Parent of Teenager.
“My child couldn't explain what they were feelin but it showed in his behaviour- meltdowns, withdrawal, anxiety and lots of school refusal. Play therapy gave him the language before he had words. Week by week I saw him become calmer, more expressive and more more in themselves. As a parent I felt supported and guided. Play therapy has introduced a calm into our home and we are so grateful to Deirdre and the team at TCS. ”
Aoife
Parent to Young child.
“I wasn't used to talking about my emotions and honestly, I didn't think it would help. What surprised me was how practical and grounding the process felt. I began to understand why I react the way I do instead of just feeling frustrated or disconnected. Counselling helped me feel more in control. My relationships have improved, my stress levels are lower and I like myself again. ”
Patrick
Adult.
“Family counselling gave us new ways to communicate and connect. Our home feels more balanced and positive now, and we’ve built stronger relationships thanks to the guidance we received.”
