I am a qualified psychotherapist with a BSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and a registered member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), practising in accordance with its ethical framework and professional standards. My work is grounded in contemporary psychological research, with a particular interest in trauma, bereavement, and addiction recovery. I work with over 18s from a trauma-informed and relational perspective, recognising the profound and lasting impact that traumatic experiences, loss, and disrupted attachment can have on emotional regulation, identity, and interpersonal relationships. My clinical interests include developmental and relational trauma, complex grief, and the psychological effects of addiction.
I support clients in exploring how past experiences continue to influence present-day patterns of coping, behaviour, and self-perception. My approach integrates evidence-based principles from attachment theory, trauma research, and mindfulness-based practices to help individuals develop greater emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and self-compassion. Therapy is collaborative, paced, and grounded in safety, offering a space where clients can process difficult experiences at their own pace and work towards meaningful and sustainable change. I am committed to providing ethical, reflective, and compassionate care, supporting clients to build resilience, understanding, and a stronger sense of self.
