Our service

Tipperary Counselling Service is a well-established, independent counselling and psychotherapy service supporting individuals and families across Tipperary.

Established in 2011, we have over 15 years of experience providing professional, ethical and compassionate counselling to adults, teenagers and children. Our work is grounded in respect, confidentiality and a commitment to meeting people where they are.

We offer face-to-face counselling in a calm, supportive setting, with online sessions available where appropriate.

Our approach

At Tipperary Counselling Service, we believe that counselling is most helpful when it is responsive to the individual rather than driven by a one-size-fits-all model.

Our therapists work in a thoughtful, grounded way, taking time to understand each person’s experience and what support may be most helpful. Sessions are paced carefully and approached with sensitivity, allowing space to explore difficulties without pressure or judgement.

Our work is informed by evidence-based approaches, including CBT, mindfulness-based work and trauma-informed practice, while always remaining person-centred and collaborative.

Meet the therapists

Our team is made up of qualified and accredited therapists who bring a range of experience and professional backgrounds to their work. All therapists adhere to the ethical guidelines of their professional bodies and engage in ongoing supervision and professional development.
